Explore our past
These pages contain some of the significant events and milestones in the history of the bells of All Saints and the ringers who ring them.
Whilst the oldest of the bells of All Saints being cast over 400 years ago, there seems to be a lack of detail about the ringers who rang them.
In addition to these pages, we are working on creating a digital archive about the ringers post thier 2000 reformation.
Over time we hope to have details of peal and quarter peals rung at All Saints since ringing restarted at Swanton Morley as well as newspaper articles and photos.
This is a massive work in progress, so check back regularly to discover something new.
These pages would not be possible with the work of Dr Paul Cattemole, whose research was included in the Dedication Service for the restored bells in 2000 as well as local historian David Stone who has research and published articles related to the history of the church.
